Sweet, Funny, Moody & Romantic

Kelly & Omid first met with me about 2 months out from their wedding at The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek. I was just getting back into meeting with clients after giving birth to my baby boy just three months earlier, and to say I felt "rusty" would be an understatement. Granted I usually like to meet my couples well before this, at least for a quick chat, but they were on the efficient track of wedding planning.

These two were gracious from the start, and through my sleep deprived, new "mom brain" ramblings we sorted through their vision, and I got to know a little more about the two of them. Kelly is a poet... like a legit, I get paid to do this, poet. She has a way of thinking about things that is artistic and well, thoughtful. Omid is a bit quiet and reserved at first, but I think it's mostly because he's really listening. He actually hears the things that aren't being said and meets you where you are. Once he starts feeling like he has a grasp on who he's working with, he's a real gem and obviously has a way of making Kelly just glow.

Their vision was easy elegant, eucalyptus greenery, a nod to romance, and a little preppy. They used poets as table markers, and had an individual poem by said poet, for each guest's place-setting. The details they had in mind and executed in such short time, put them in my couple hall of fame for expedience.
