Marisa & Dominic, Los Altos History Museum
This sweet couple came to Sweetness & Light after already booking another florist, which in my heart is never where I want to start a consultation. Between not wanting to take business away from colleague but understanding that maybe they had just landed with not the right fit, we navigated the tricky waters of assessing their concerns they were having, and still developing a unique and gorgeous floral plan.
Concerns were alleviated and a really great floral conversation bloomed allowing me to fully create something that I hoped would meet their needs and their budget. We used soft lavenders, whites, and vibrant greens to create a clean and cool pallet that ended up being the perfect antidote to one of the hottest days that summer.
Guests arrived and found their seats in the waning sun for the ceremony. We decked out the existing arbor with lush purple blooms and dusted the aisle with petals. A sweet flower girl finished the job, as the processional of ladies in lavender swished through in their long gowns.
The night took a very festive and party turn as the sun set and the cafe lights strung above cast a long summer glow on the round tables below. Drinks flowed and dancing began and lasted long into the balmy summer night. It was exactly what they wanted and everything turned out just right in the end.
