Jennifer & Kyle | Hakone Gardens, Saratoga Ca
Not all "theme" weddings are easy to catch at first glance- especially if done with taste and restraint. In this case, Jennifer and Kyle created an ode to their love of Game Of Thrones with subtle hints found in their color scheme and tiny details of their big day. To encapsulate a subtle but intense theme for Jennifer and Kyle, we took on a deep and moody toned red color pallet to play with the traditional black tie affair style of their wedding as well as take a tongue in cheek stab at the "Red Wedding". With hidden GOT emblem tributes found on tea lights at the reception tables and seating cards; the playful couple was able to keep a personalized theme while creating a classic wedding vibe.
Some of the different striking red beauties we used for this dramatic affair were anemones, classic roses, and deep burgundy toned Ti leaves for dimension. To personalize a traditional Grooms boutonniere for a wedding based around the original book series "A Song of Ice and Fire", we wire wrapped the ribbon in a cool metallic tone for an eye catching and crisp contrast to the red bloom. With help from the natural and effortless beauty of the Hakone Gardens, these flowers truly recreated the "Seven Kingdoms of Westeros" theme quite well.
