Kalpana & Chris | Thomas Fogarty Winery

Do you need some inspiration on combining you and your sweet peas cultures for the big day? Kalpana and Chris were able to do just that by blending Chinese and Indian traditions in modern ways.

This darling couple lived primarily in Africa while planning their wedding before moving into the states a month before the big day. With the couple combining their cultural backgrounds they personalized their wedding in a way that stay current while giving tribute to their families through design, decor, tradition and foods.

For their centerpieces they replaced the traditional floral focused piece with a wooden sculpture of an animal found native in Africa, we accented tables with florets of dahlia and mauve toned succulent faces. The bridesmaids rocked gold sequin saris with pops of color hidden beneath and we kept a modern and clean white and cream color scheme for the bouquets so it would not take away from the bright color scheme in the the Saris and beautiful henna on Kalpana's hands.

Some featured flowers here to turn heads are anemones, dahlias, succulents, and garden roses.
