Service Description
You and Wendi will have the shop to yourselves for an inspiring and empowering design class. This class is ideal for someone interested in a more natural approach to design, someone inspired by nature's already abundant beauty and wants to learn how to "paint" with the seasonal flora and foliage available. We'll cover some basic design principals, such as form, shape, and weight, as well as touch on some color theory to play with subtlety and drama in an arrangement. We'll create movement in the designs to create a fully engaged reception of the work as a finished product. You'll leave with tools (both tangible and intangible) to take your at home designing to the next level. You'll feel empowered to forage your back yard (and maybe some of your neighbor's front!) for bits of interesting foliage and blooms to combine with other elements you might pick up from your favorite local flower shop - and begin your evolving practice of floral design!
